ISSUE 4: STILTS IV
Stilts IV: a collection of four individual volumes, with brand new commissioned longform pieces by Ellena Savage, Samuel Rutter, Jennifer Mills, and the first printed assembly of Pavlos Kozalidis' photographic exhibitons.
Design and illustrations come from Sydney babes Jack L Dunbar and Nadia Hernandez.
ISSUE 3: THE STILTS HANDBOOK OF ADVENTURE
In the third issue Cory Taylor navigates warring parents in Kenya. Sarah Gory goes searching for Borges in Buenos Aires. Sam Maguire travels through time and space in pursuit of his alien crush. Josephine Rowe drives for hundreds of ks along dusty West Australian roads. Paul Donoughue makes music in Berlin. Kari Gislason doesn’t get over her in Greece.
ISSUE 2: LEGS LIKE SHOTGUN BARRELS
For the second issue of the Stilts journal we invited contributors to experiment with and explore notions of sex, gender, and sexuality.
The journal features fiction from Krissy Kneen, poetry from Graham Nunn, memoir from Rebecca Jessen, and illustrations from Simon Cottee.
ISSUE 1: HOME IS WHERE
For this first issue, we asked writers to respond to the theme of ‘home’, perhaps a nod to the house under whose roof the Stilts idea grew. But mostly, we wanted to explore the beautiful Brisbane we all call home.
In these pages you’ll find memoir from Michelle Law and Kate Cantrell, poetry by Reilly Smethurst, and fiction set in a Brisbane re-imagined by Samuel Finegan.Download Journal
SERVED is stories from retail and hospitality – ventings and musings from those jobs at Maccas, behind bars, in dodgy art galleries, the local pool.
HORROR HOUSEMATES ZINE
Horror Housemates is the very first Stilts zine, released for halloween 2012. Featuring illustrations by Tom Jones (yes, Tom Jones) and stories about some unusual domestic situations: think foot fetishes, parties with on-site drug peddlers, and body fluids in jars in the fridge.
